1880-CC 8/7 Reverse of 1878 $1 GSA Hoard PCGS MS64+ green CAC sticker. Certified in the original GSA hoard holder and housed in a protective PCGS GSA holder. Near gem surfaces are awash in bright frosty luster. This variety is far scarcer than the usual reverse of 1879 type. In fact, PCGS has graded just six examples of this date and grade, with just 10 finer examples. For comparison, population reports of the standard reverse type list over 160 graded in 64+ or better. A truly scarce GSA Carson City dollar offering, with even fewer CAC approved.
