1880-CC Morgan Silver Dollar PCGS MS-64+ 8/7 Reverse of 78 CAC

1880-CC 8/7 Reverse of 1878 $1 PCGS MS64+ green CAC sticker. An interesting major variety of the Morgan dollar series- an overdate paired with the concave reverse breast of 1878. This variety is much scarcer than 1880-CC dollars with standard dates and the reverse of 1879, with the PCGS population report listing about a tenth as many graded in MS64+. Blast white surfaces display swirling frosty luster. Excellently struck and impressively unabraded for the grade. It is no wonder why CAC elected to approve this near gem Carson City dollar.
