1849 $2.50 PCGS AU53 green CAC sticker. One of just two AU53 examples approved by CAC. A scarce early quarter eagle with a mintage of less than 24,000 pieces. Surfaces are entirely original and display only light wear. Adequate luster is retained throughout the obverse and reverse fields. The color is a rich even gold with copper hues at the peripheries.
