Obverse: This side still features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. At the time this coin was struck, it is not known how long the Royal Canadian Mint will continue to use this portrait. Despite a lack of an announcement from the mint, 2023 may be the final appearance of Her Late Majesty on Canadian coins. The familiar Susanna Blunt imagery of Her Late Majesty is silver against the black rhodium background, which creates a beautiful contrast. The dual dates of Queen Elizabeth II's years on the throne, "1952-2022," have been added to this special memorial obverse.

Reverse: The maple leaf on the reverse looks incredible with the super incuse strike paired with masterfully applied black rhodium plating. The level of detail that's visible here is simply stunning.
