We will purchase every product that you wish to sell, either directly or by consignment. There are no minimum or maximum transaction values when selling to us. Our experienced and professional staff is capable of handling both the largest and most obscure coin and currency collections.

For clients located in the Greater-Pittsburgh area, we are pleased to provide confidential reviews at your location and issue immediate cash payment.

We welcome any questions you may have regarding the value of your coins, and our priority is to ensure that each and every one of our customers receives a fair and honest appraisal when selling their valuables.

Selling Your Precious Metals

Olevian Numismatic Rarities will always buy your precious metals products immediately based on current market prices. All bullion transactions must be agreed upon in person or over the phone, at which time our buying price will be locked-in permanently. Arrangements should be made to either deliver or ship products to ONR as soon as possible. Concierge pick-up service is available for larger transactions. Payment will be issued by cash or business check shortly after delivery of products to us.

Selling Your Rare Coins and Paper Money Directly

If ONR is interested in acquiring your numismatic specimens for private inventory, then we will purchase your items and pay you immediately by cash or check.

Selling Through Consignment

In the rare event that ONR is not immediately interested in your coins or banknotes for private inventory, then we will sell your items through consignment. Consignment refers to the act of placing any material in the hands of another, but retaining complete ownership until the items are sold. The overwhelming majority of tangible assets like paintings, antique furniture, and other collectibles are sold through consignment. When you consign to ONR, we take physical possession of your collection and offer it for sale to other clients. You retain total ownership of your items during this time and ONR is responsible for the full market value of your belongings. You can specify a minimum sale price for your items, which ONR can suggest based on current market conditions. ONR can sell most items rapidly at a fair market price. For certain high-end specimens or if the consignor is asking particularly high prices, the liquidation process may take somewhat longer. In general, selling rare coins is not much different than selling other tangible assets like real estate, automobiles, or artwork. Therefore, it may be advantageous to wait for ONR to consider several offers in order to secure the highest possible price for your coins. Once your items are sold, ONR will retain a predetermined percentage of the sale price for our services. You will then be paid by cash or business check within 7 days. When you consign to ONR, we do all the work for you—including advertising, negotiating with other clients, and preparing your items for sale. All you need to do is supply the merchandise!
