U.S. Mint replaces 90 percent silver alloy with .999 fine silver

The United States Mint has recently decided to move away from the previously used 90% silver alloy used for numismatic products and will now be utilizing 0.999 fine silver starting in 2019.  This will include Roosevelt dimes, Kennedy Half Dollars, ATB quarters, and the annual commemorative coins.
